Fact Check: Video Does NOT Show Egyptian Army Entering Palestinian Territory Old Video

Does video show Egyptian army soldiers entering Palestinian territory or being deployed to the border between Egypt, Gaza and Israel? No, that's not true. The video is old and it shows Yemeni army soldiers marching in Marib, Yemen.

The claim appeared in a video (archived here) where it was published on TikTok by @mnbmnb741 on October 8, 2023, with a caption translated into English from Arabic by Lead Stories staff that reads:

Open the border. The Egyptian army is entering Palestine. From Iraq, our hearts are with you.

This is what the post looked like on TikTok at the time of writing:

The video shows a large group of armed soldiers marching on a street, which Lead Stories has identified as a street in Marib, Yemen. A Google reverse image search shows a version of the video published on YouTube by @user-fo1rc4bw8q on August 7, 2023, with an Arabic caption reading "The strongest military batch was graduated in Marb to confront the Houthis."
