Are these videos from the new anti-regime protest movement currently taking place in Syria? No, that's not true: These images are of old protests in Syria.
The claim appeared in several posts, such as this video (archived here) on TikTok on August 25, 2023, under the title "Aleppo Protests, Alhamdaniya" (translated from Arabic to English by Lead Stories staff). An Arabic text overlay on the video says (translated from Arabic to English by Lead Stories staff):
Renewed Protests in the City of Aleppo, demanding the downfall of the Syria regime

This video was not shot during the recent protest movement in Syria. It was originally posted on YouTube on September 11, 2012, and shows an anti-regime protest in Aleppo.
Syria is witnessing a fresh wave of protests against the regime of Bashar Assad. Credible media outlets report on these new protests, but several posts on TikTok share old footage of anti-regime demonstrations in Syria, claiming that they show fresh protests.
Another TikTok video makes a similar claim, showing a massive protest in the Syrian province of Al-Suwayda. This is what the post looked like on TikTok at the time of writing:

This video, originally posted on YouTube in July 2011, is also from an old anti-Assad rally in the city of Hama at the iconic al-Assi square. It is possible to tell the location from the column that is a landmark of the city's famous square.
